Seaside Police Activities League (SPAL)
The Seaside Police Activities League (SPAL) is a juvenile crime prevention program designed to provide athletic, recreational, and educational opportunities for youth and to reinforce responsible values and respect. Such values and respect are essential to the youth, police officers and personnel, our neighborhoods, and the local business community of Seaside. SPAL is comprised of police officers, police and City of Seaside personnel, community members, and volunteers, all who serve as coaches, mentors, instructors, role models, and executive board members. Their devoted diligence, dedication, and time are vital in hopes of enhancing a brighter future for our Seaside youth.
The Seaside Police Activities League and the City of Seaside Recreation Services Department bring to you an organized and instructional youth leagues for boys and girls ages 5-14. This league is all inclusive and players will receive equal opportunity in play time as all skill levels are welcome. Participants learn the rules of the court on both sides of the ball, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Division 1 (ages 5-6) and Division 2 (ages 7-9) will play in-house league games, as Division 3 (12 and Under) and Division 4 (14 and Under) will play games and opponents of the Peninsula League community.

Supports
SPAL was incorporated in February 2001. The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District and the City of Seaside Parks and Recreation Department support SPAL by providing gyms, fields, facilities, and resources for its youth programs. Local businesses and individuals of the Seaside community generously donate their time, money, resources, and services to strengthen SPAL and help make it successful.
